Bluebird Care is proud to announce the start of their new project, Kidz Club...
We have recently taken the opportunity to work collaboratively with North Yorkshire County Council to set up a free event for children with disabilities at the Children’s Centre in Knaresborough. This will be held each Friday at 3.15pm to 6:00pm.
Our aim is to deliver a variety of activities for the children to get involved with such as art, drama, music, cooking and crafts. We will deliver projects over a number of weeks that conclude in a performance for the children and their families, and in something creative and hands on that the children can make to take home.
North Yorkshire County Council has kindly offered us the use of a variety of rooms at the centre including the use of a sensory room, so the children have different options for activities depending on how they feel on the day.
Ultimately our aim is to help promote the independence of children with disabilities to share their interests, make friends and have fun. The event will be conducted by the Children’s Service’s Manager and another qualified Child Support Worker from within Bluebird Care. We look forward to developing this much-needed service in the local community and are excited about the opportunities it brings and where it will lead.
Supporting children to reach their potential and surpass their goals is not only beneficial for the child but also for their family, and as we also deliver adult social care, we can provide seamless continuity of care throughout the transitional period into adulthood."
