Bluebird Care Harrogate is celebrating their fantastic team of care assistants, and the difference they make across the community every day, as part of a national campaign, which launched on Tuesday 8th May.

The #MakeADifference campaign, headed up by Bluebird Care’s franchise support centre, aims to highlight and raise awareness of care at home as a profession, which enables vulnerable people to receive the care and support they require in the comfort of their own homes. The purpose of the campaign is so we can showcase why the Bluebird Care [territory] team of care assistants are #ProudtoCareAtHome.

With the rapidly increasing ageing population and rising numbers of people living with complex conditions - that require specialist care – such as dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, and more people choosing to opt for care at home, our campaign aims to highlight how patient, kind and compassionate individuals can make a real difference working in care at home.

Bluebird Care Harrogate will be hosting interactive recruitment events and throughout May - August to promote the campaign.

Vivian Stone, Bluebird Care Harrogate’s longest-standing care assistant – of over 7 years, said:

I know I am making a difference in my local community, and helping individuals remain in their own home.  Moving can be unsettling, so anything we can do to prevent this should be done. I love spending time with my customers, hearing the stories, seeing the photos. I love being a care assistant.
Director of Bluebird Care Harrogate Victoria Webber commented:

We would like to thank all our wonderful care assistants at Bluebird Care Harrogate and to encourage anyone who thinks they have the right qualities, to get in touch and consider a career with us.
All those interested in getting in touch and finding out more about how they could make a difference working with Bluebird Care should contact our Recruitment Officer Harriet Webber.
