Care provider urges locals to Love Your Lungs!
Changes in air pollution levels over the last couple of years have made us all become more aware of how important it is to look after our lungs. This year’s Love Your Lungs Week takes place from 23rd – 29th June and Bluebird Care Hammersmith & Fulham is thoroughly backing this campaign.
1 in 5 people in the UK will be affected by a lung disease such as asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or another long-term respiratory condition. Approximately every week, 10,000 people in the UK are newly diagnosed with a lung disease.
We rely on our lungs for every single breath we take. Yet, despite how fundamental they are, too many of us take our lungs for granted.
Soheila Amin, Director of Bluebird Care Hammersmith & Fulham, said:
“Love Your Lungs Week is the opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of good lung health with friends and family, all while fundraising to change the future of lung conditions in the UK. Let’s love our lungs and see how we can improve and maintain good lung health.
Bluebird Care is always keen to support campaigns like this – those that promote healthy living and ‘all round’ positive lifestyles.”
