In support of Carers Week 2016, we are delighted to offering training to local unpaid carers who provide care to their own family or friends.

We may not be able to support the 6.5 million adult carers in the UK, nor the 2.1 million who become carers each year - but we would like to help within our local area.

As a local provider of care to people in their own homes we train our own professional carers to recognised high standards all in line with the new Care Certificate qualification.

During Carers Week 2016 we would like to extend our training and our facilities to local people who provide care to their own family or to friends on an unpaid basis.

The training courses that we will be carrying out are:

6th June:             Moving and Handling – protecting your back
7th June:             First Aid Awareness
9th June:             Dementia Care

Courses will be held at our offices in Old Woking and will run from 2pm - 5pm. Refreshments will be provided.

These will be short but informative courses - we understand that when caring for a loved one full time, time is precious.

To find out more about these courses, please call our friendly office team on 01483 761000.
