Sport Relief is brought to us by Comic Relief which, since 1985, has helped countless people thanks to the amazing generosity and fundraising of the British public.
Of all the funds raised through Sport Relief, 50% is used to make a difference here in the UK, and 50% goes towards helping those in need across the world’s poorest communities.
So far the money raised has provided funding for 23 projects that support people living with dementia, helped over 189,000 children to attend school and get an education, ensured 16,500 people got the support they need to improve their mental health and much more.
We are inviting people to walk, run, cycle, skip or dance starting from our office in Old Woking going around our territory. We will be carrying out the event in a relay fashion, with each person taking part for 20 minutes, then a driver will meet you in the Bluebird Care car and will drive you back to the office and swap with the next person. The suggested route is: via Westfield, Guildford, Shalford and Bramley towards Cranleigh, then if we make it that far, return towards old Woking,
walking (or running if you can!) on pavements along the route. We ask that participants wear red on the day, and donate £5 to take part, all of which will go to Sport Relief! Drinks and refreshments will be made available on the day.
We are also holding a sweepstake in the office which is £2.00 to take part in, so if you don’t fancy the exercise please come in and put your name down for the sweepstake!
If you are interested in taking part, please call our friendly office team on 01483 761000 for more information. Visit the Sport Relief website, to find out how you can get involved.
