We were delighted to help boost vital supplies at Woking’s Foodbank after running a our colouring competition and asking entrants to donate non-perishable food.

The competition was won by Erik Eross, 11, from Woking, who was awarded a £25 Toys R Us gift voucher, while runner-up Michael Marinescu, 10, from Guildford, won a £10 Argos voucher.

The contest was run as part of the Hipley Street’s Christmas Fundraising activities, which also raised £200 for The Alzheimer’s Society and Woking and Beare Hospice. Money was raised through holding a raffle, sales of favourite recipes booklets and guess the name of the bear competition.

Owner of Bluebird Care Guildford & Waverley, Brian Colvin said:
We were delighted to be able to help the Woking Foodbank as it carries out such important work in our local community. It’s particularly difficult  if you are struggling to make ends meet and have a young family, so we thought a children’s colouring competition was a fitting way to help increase donations.”
