Giving Back to the Community
We wanted to give back to our community, and what better way than by donating non-perishable items to our local food bank, Greenwich Foodbank. We understand that December can be a financially challenging time for many people and recognise that food banks are widely relied upon within our community.
Joy's Christmas Memory
Christmas in Lagos has always been full of life and celebration — it feels like one big party. The day starts with church in the morning, followed by cooking plenty of food to share with neighbours. There is always warmth, laughter, and togetherness in the air.
One Christmas that stands out most to me is my first as a married woman. I had gotten married just two weeks before, and everything felt extra special. I still had that newlywed glow, and with extended family coming together, the house was full of people, love, and of course, lots and lots of food.
Christmas in Lagos is very different from Christmas in the UK. In Lagos, you’ll see tinsel and simple decorations, while in the UK there are Christmas trees and more elaborate displays. Despite the differences, every Christmas brings new memories.
Having all the family together brings me so much joy — and that’s what makes Christmas truly special. 🎄💙
December's Carer of The Month
Fatimo was our Carer of the Month for December. She consistently goes above and beyond for her customers, providing compassionate and dedicated care that truly makes a difference. Her kindness, professionalism, and commitment bring comfort and reassurance to both customers and their families, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does.
