As we work with people who have dementia, we believe it is important to be able to support them in the best way we can.
Those who conducted the activity wore gel insoles with spikes to show nerve damage in a person’s foot and how their balance can be affected. They wore tinted goggles, ear defenders and gloves showcasing that certain senses can become impaired with the diagnosis.
Alongside our carers who have attended, we work closely alongside the Apollo Team at Lowestoft College. Some of their students came in attendance and this provided them with a better knowledge before going into their chosen career.
As a company, our goal is making sure our customers are comfortable despite their differences. With better understanding we can provide the best care for those who need it.
