Fundraising for Our Local Volunteer Centre

At Bluebird Care Gravesham and Dartford, we believe strongly about giving back and raising money for our local community. That’s why recently, a team of our dedicated care assistants went down to Gravesend Flea Market, with a array of home-made festive cakes to raise some money for their local Volunteer Centre.

The Volunteer Centre has an abundance of services for older people, some of which are used by the customers of Bluebird Care Gravesham and Dartford.

The team made it down to the flea market at the crack of dawn and started selling in earnest, not stopping until the cakes were gone.

Over the course of 2018, through this bake sale and other events throughout the year, they have raised over £100 for the volunteer centre.

Care Manager Denise said:
At Bluebird Care Gravesham and Dartford, we are very supportive of other charities in our local area that provide care for older people.

Many of our customers do need a lot help, and it’s good for them to have as much access to it as possible.

I’d also like to say a massive thank you to all of the Care Assistants who baked cakes and came to help on the day, it’s much appreciated!
