Taking A Day Trip Out!

Although the weather has been getting steadily more wintery, it didn’t stop us from carrying on as usual. The week took off to a good start with care assistant Natasha taking customer Audrey out for the day, the two went for a relaxing lunch and a look around Hawley Garden Centre.

The week took off to a good start with care assistant Natasha taking customer Audrey out for the day, the two went for a relaxing lunch and a look around Hawley Garden Centre.

The garden centre was on top form, with an abundance of wintery flower displays, and of course, a few early Christmas decorations!

At Bluebird Care, it’s important for us to do excursions and activities like this at no charge to our customers.

Denise, our Care Manager is completely supportive of both the Care Assistants and customers taking trips out:
Here at Bluebird Care Gravesham & Dartford, we really encourage the care assistants to build a good relationship with the customers, it makes the days more enjoyable for everyone, and we’re well aware how much joy the day trips can bring.
Audrey is one of Natasha’s regular customers, so when Natasha asked to take her out to lunch, Audrey was delighted to accept. It was clear that both had a great time throughout the afternoon.

The two were lucky with the temperamental autumn weather, as it was crisp but beautifully clear. Luckily, the chilly temperatures also made for a good excuse to warm up in the café afterwards, with scones and multiple pots of tea!
