Carers Funday A Roaring Success

We wanted to do something a little different this year as a thank you to our incredible team of Care Assistants who support our customers every day so arranged a fun day at a local venue for them to enjoy.

We closed the office for the day and all headed down to local Elite Venue in Gravesend, where the office team got the BBQ going and prepared some sports day type games.

There was a great family atmosphere and Care Assistant Sam said:
The idea of a funday is excellent and was particularly enjoyed by my kids who had a lovely time playing.

The food was great and being able to pop in for a little bit gives a huge amount of flexibility which was one thing that really made the event a success. My husband, kids and I had a great time!
Our team ot Care Assistants joined for the day or popped in during a break in their rota where the had some food and enjoyed each other's company.

We also had the privilege of being joined by one of our customers, Jane, who Care Assistant Tracey visits and brought her along for an ice cream.

Care Manager Siobhan commented:
I am delighted at how well our fun day went.

We had almost double the number of people who we were expecting to join do so and even had to head out for more food supplies.

It was really great seeing our Care Assistants and their families having a great time, getting to know each other and children playing!

Care Assistant Miranda explained that:
I think it is really nice that Bluebird Care has put on this event.

I know I am working for a company who cares for their team and really enjoy the company along with getting to know my colleagues out of a work environment.

We held the funday during carers week which is a national week aimed at recognising the invaluable work and dedication of so many carers that provide ongoing support.
Our funday is just one of the many ways we recognise our incredible team and would like to thank all those who made it a big success.
