Throughout Scotland the Scottish Huntington’s Association exists to provide support and information to professionals and people directly affected by Huntington’s disease.

Huntington’s disease is an incurable, degenerative disease of the central nervous system that affects more than 6,000 people across the UK. In 97% of cases this disorder is caused by a hereditary gene.

John Perry, director of Bluebird Care Glasgow South, said:

We are proud to promote Huntington’s Disease Awareness Week raising awareness of all the vital support and information available to anyone affected by the disease. We hope that by supporting this campaign we will help people in our local area get the vital support they need.”
