Praise for Bluebird Care service which offers at home living in Glasgow

“Bluebird Care provides excellent quality care to people in order for them to experience comfort and care in their own homes. People are fully involved in making decisions about their care and support and are very much in control of the service delivery from the beginning."

“This was evidenced when we accompanied the staff member on her visits."

“We found that the care plans relating to the people experiencing care were excellent."

“They were presented in digital form and easy to follow with various tabs and headings."

“We were able to see that people had been involved in the creation of their plan and had signed them off, which allowed for a sense of ownership and accuracy."

“These were reviewed and updated with the participation of the person on a regular and six monthly basis, which meant the care plan was current and meeting people’s outcomes.”

Inspectors also praised Bluebird, run by CareGlasgow Ltd, for “an excellent” system, which uses GPS technology to allow care workers to tag in and out of people’s homes, for visits lasting no less than 30 minutes, and how staff were always punctual. 

Senior staff were spoken very highly of by workers, especially during a transition period of management. 

The report stated: “Staff spoke very highly of their senior team who had managed the transition of the acting manager into the vacant post very seamlessly. 

“The staff team worked so well together and all spoke of feeling like a family and proud of the support they offered. 

“This ensured an excellent team culture with strong loyalties to the people they supported and the company they worked for.”

Inspectors spoke to family members of service users, who showered praised on staff. 

One said: “I can’t fault any of the staff, they are all marvellous.”

Another added: “I know the staff very well, they are like family.”
