A Day at the Coast with Richard, May, Hettie… and Pablo
Getting out and about isn’t always easy when mobility becomes more difficult, which is why little trips can mean such a lot.
Recently, our care worker Demi spent the day with Richard and May, helping them enjoy a visit to the coast with their dog, Hettie. It had been quite some time since they’d been able to take her for a proper seaside walk themselves, so being able to get out together again was really special.
Demi also brought along her own dog, Pablo, who quickly became part of the adventure. After a gentle stroll along the seafront, everyone stopped off at Goose on the Green café for a well-earned drink and a chance to relax together.
For many people, pets are family. They bring comfort, companionship, routine, and joy — but caring for them or getting out for walks can sometimes become more challenging with age, illness, or reduced mobility.
