David’s Story
A Passion for Restoration, Family, and a Cherished Classic
David stands proudly beside his cherished 1923 Rolls-Royce 20 Horsepower, a car with a remarkable history.
He first discovered the vehicle in a junk yard in 1984 and patiently restored it over several years, bringing the classic back to life through dedication and craftsmanship.
By 1991, the Rolls-Royce was back on the road and operating as part of David’s wedding transportation business. Over the years, the beautifully restored vehicle became part of many special occasions, even serving as the chauffeur-driven car for musician and bandleader Jools Holland at his wedding in 2005.
After many years of service, the car is currently in the garage once again for another restoration — this time being carried out by David’s son, Rowan. Their hope is to have the work completed by May so the beautifully revived Rolls-Royce can return to the road and be proudly displayed at classic car shows.
Remaining connected to something so meaningful has been incredibly important to David. With support around him, he has been able to continue enjoying the passion and pride that comes with seeing the restoration move forward and spending time with family as they work together to bring the Rolls-Royce back to life. Supporting not only David, but also those closest to him, has helped make it possible for him to stay involved in something he treasures so deeply.
