Bluebird Care Fareham are delighted to announce that it has received a rating of "Overall Good" by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This is the first CQC rating for Bluebird Care Fareham, run by owner Gabi Sprechert, and is a huge success for Gabi and her team who work tirelessly all year round servicing the care needs of the local community.

The CQC is the independent regulator of Health and Social Care in England, and it inspects and regulates all care services ensuring they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety.

Bluebird Care Fareham was originally the Fareham and Gosport office until the two locations were split in 2019. Since then, the Fareham operation has been successfully growing its provision in and around the local area and receiving its first CQC rating is another great success for the company.

The company was inspected across five key areas to assess the quality levels of their service, they are: Well-led, Caring, Responsive, Effective and Safe. The business consistently achieved a rating of ‘good’ across all areas, resulting in an ‘Overall good’ CQC rating.

Findings from the report included first-hand feedback about the service from customers and their relatives, such as: "We don't ever need to worry about them not turning up" and "We all feel much more relaxed knowing they are there helping [person's name]." The report also noted that “Staff spoke with genuine warmth, empathy and compassion when referring to the people they cared for.”

The company was also praised for really getting to know their customers in order to build positive relationships, and stated “There was a strong focus on finding out as much as possible about the person, their family, history, preferences and interests so that when the carers visited, they had conversation points beyond common courtesies.”
