We've been out and about in Sidmouth visiting the Donkey Sanctuary!

Here at Bluebird Care Exeter we understand how important it is for our customers to maintain a sense of fun and independence and with the Donkey Sanctuary right on our doorstep we couldn't resist!
On Thursday 23rd July we took a group of our Customers to the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth to find out about the fantastic work they do there and to meet a few of their donkeys!
It was a great day out - the customers loved stroking the donkeys, having a lovely lunch in the Hayloft Restaurant and of course browsing the souvenirs in the obligatory trip to the gift shop!
The Donkey Sanctuary is free to visit, was fully accessible for our group and offered wheelchair hire, we would certainly recommend it and hope to go again soon!
The staff at Bluebird Care Exeter didn't come away empty handed either - we adopted Ruby the donkey! She is famous for her attention seeking antics and long legs but is also extremely cuddly and loves meeting new people. We just couldn't resist her!
