Ensuring personnel files are to company standard, including making sure all staff related checks are carried out and paperwork signed off and filed accordingly.
 
What do you enjoy most about your job?

Talking to potential new staff and making sure all the paperwork is in order. I like that I am involved in company that has caring for others at its core. 

What does a typical day look like in your job?

It’s extremely varied!! Chasing paperwork, collating files, ordering office supplies, contacting referees, registering CRB checks and talking to possible new recruits! 

How many years have you been working in the Care Industry and how did you get started? What did you do before?

I’ve been working for nearly two years (in August!) in the Care Industry; with Bluebird Care Exeter. Before this, I worked predominantly in Admin in various different posts, such as in a medical education facility and a supplier of medical mattresses!

In my life before administration, I designed kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms!
 
Tell us a fact or something unusual about yourself…

I once sang in Westminster Abbey :-)

(Many moons ago though! It was with a choir I was with at the time and I’m not sure I’d be so brave now!)
