Bluebird Care Essex West 10th Anniversary Celebrations

Our care team and customers come together to celebrate with Madam Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Olivia Sanders and Councillor Sheila Murphy
Bluebird Care Essex West celebrated its 10th anniversary on 21 April 2022 and held the event at the Knights Way Centre in Brentwood. Bluebird Care customers were collected by our home care assistants to ensure they could attend and celebrate. Bluebird Care Essex West care staff brought their young families, which the customers really enjoyed seeing and interacting with them all, it was such a joy to see so many happy faces.
Our Madam Mayor of Brentwood, councillor Olivia Sanders and Councillor Sheila Murphy also attended to give their support and were networking the room, talking to our care staff and customers
Kevin McCormack welcomed all that attended and gave a few words about the history of our Essex West office, more details can be found on our Bluebird Care Essex West website. Clem Towlson, Bluebird Care Essex West, Registered Manager, received a glass trophy for her continued ten-year service and recognition for her dedication and support to her care team, here are too many more years! All our outstanding, long-serving home care assistants and administrative staff also were recognised and received a small gift each.

This was a wonderful opportunity to bring our staff and our customers together after such a difficult year. Bluebird Care Essex West customer: - Lana said - ‘Singing the national anthem was a real treat – I had forgotten it was the Queen’s birthday, as I missed this news this morning! So glad I was reminded and was able to join in the singing.
With all the presentations over, it was time to tuck into lunch, our care team walked around with platters of sandwiches, allowing our customers to choose what to put on their plates, this was followed by each receiving a delicious, personalised cupcake that was baked by ‘The Only Way is Cake’ – food and drinks company.
Bluebird Care Essex West Customer; Madeline said – ‘Thank you so much for bringing me to this wonderful celebration, I really enjoyed myself – I especially enjoyed dancing to the billy-rocker music!’
With all our celebrations in full flow, it was not forgotten, our Queen’s birthday and to show our support we played the national anthem and all sang along! This was such a treat for all our customers.
