Bluebird Care Epsom & Kingston is supporting National Eye Health Week which takes place from 19th – 25th September 2016.Eye care charities and health professionals across the UK are coming together to increase awareness of eye care and the importance of having regular sight tests. The campaign, organised by Vision Matters, is focusing on increasing people’s understanding of how to care for their eyes and preventing sight loss.
Vision Matters believe taking simple advice such as eating healthy, protecting eyes from sun rays and not smoking can help keep eyes healthy. The statistics of those living with sight loss in the UK are a staggering 1.8 million, however a simple sight test could really make a difference to some of these individuals.
Kate Barry, director of Bluebird Care Epsom & Kingston, said:
We are delighted to promote Vision Matters National Eye Health Week campaign this September. Eye care is so important, yet often overlooked so it is a great opportunity for us to raise awareness of having regular sight tests both to the local community and our customers.”
