Loneliness Awareness Week 2023
Published: 25/05/2023
Let's talk loneliness...
At Bluebird Care Epping & Harlow, we provide a high-quality Homecare and Live in Care service to help older people and other vulnerable adults to live independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
We keep you in control and provide you with the home care services and support you want, where and when you want it. It's your life and your care, so it must be your way. We put our customers first.
Loneliness Awareness Week is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends or colleagues about loneliness.
Loneliness is a natural human emotion - we are hardwired to need social connections. This is why the Loneliness Awareness Week on 12th June - 18th June is so important to talk about.
By talking about it, we can support ourselves and others
We are proudly working with The Marmalade Trust, the UK's leading loneliness charity for all ages, to help fight againt loneliness. They are the only charity in the world specifically dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness.
So... How can YOU get involved?
Bluebird Care Epping & Harlow is asking all of you to show your creative side and bring in your handmade items to our Bluebird Care Redbridge office at 137 George Ln, London, E18 1AN by Monday 19th June. We will then use these items to fundraise for The Marmalade Trust at the 'Big Up Southend!' creative market on 24th June.
To help create a society where we recognise that loneliness exists and support each other to find new social connections
