Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede Recognises and Rewards Outstanding Care Assistants in the Region

Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede have awarded the Carer of the Year Award to Najet Lakhal.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a monumental challenge to Care Assistants across the UK, who have risen to become celebrated heroes across the country. As the year draws to a close, Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede have paid tribute to their Care Assistants and rewarded one in particular, who has gone above and beyond their call of duty.

NajetNajet Lakhal is part of Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede team that delivers care plans directly to customers in the comfort of their own homes. Their person-centred, individualised services cover daily visits, live-in care, companionship and complex care.

Najet was rewarded with Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede’s Carer of the Year Award for promoting best practice and demonstrating excellence in her line of work. Najet’s commitment was considered exemplary among her peers. She has also become reliably known among the business for never refusing to work a shift or turning down a customer visit. Najet’s vigilance, reliability and attention to detail has been to the benefit of many customers in the Elmbridge & Runnymede community.

Najet was rewarded with a £100 voucher as a gesture of appreciation from her employer and said:

I am over the moon to have been awarded Carer of the Year, among a field of such skilled and dedicated colleagues. Despite the challenges Care Assistants and workers in the sector face, I enjoy everything I do for my customers and thoroughly enjoy working for Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede. It’s a highly unique and rewarding role.
