To ensure we deliver the very best care, we work alongside our customers and their families to tailor our services to help our customers stay in control of their own care for as long as they are able to. Meet our team of care professionals

Angela Young
Senior Coordinator for Bluebird Care Ayrshire, Edinburgh, & Glasgow South

14 years ago, Angela, or Angie as some will call her, experienced care at home as she looked after her grandfather. After he sadly passed away, she realised that she had a desire to help others receive the same quality standard of care and bring smiles to their faces.

She joined us as a Care Assistant, where she quickly progressed to On-Call Coordinator, then to Supervisor but assisted with coordinating when needed. When the opportunity arose to be the full-time coordinator. With her experience, Angela is now a Senior Coordinator. She predominately looks after Edinburgh but also supports and leads our other coordinators so overseas all 3 offices.

She has successfully completed her SVQ4 in Health and Social Care and achieved the James Watt Level 2 Dementia certificate.

Angie has a bubbly personality and is always trying to bring life and soul to the party, she loves a cheeky drink on an evening, her dogs and keeping fit.

Lindsey Clark
Recruitment Consultant for Bluebird Care Edinburgh

Lindsey joined our team as a Care Assistant after looking for home care for her mum. The way her Care Assistants looked after her mum struck a chord with her and she wanted to be able to help keep people comfortable at home. She loved making a difference in people’s lives.

She then moved into the recruitment team, helping to ensure that we recruited more quality Care Assistants into our team. Whilst in this role, she quickly found that training also excited her.

Lindsey took over our learning and development to ensure all new starters received the Bluebird Care Way training. But not only this, she ensured all our team had refresher training, so everyone was up-to-date and equipped for all situations.

As we’ve changed our Recruitment journey, Lindsey has done a full circle and gone back to her Recruitment position to ensure she can support our teams to hire the very best people. She predominantely looks after our Edinburgh office, but she does assist with Ayrshire & Glasgow South where required.

In her spare time you'll find her spending quality time with her family and walking her dog.

Robbie is our Chief Happiness Officer, whilst he's mainly in our Edinburgh office, he on occassion take a car drive over to Ayrshire and Glasgow South. He's a Labrador and Deerhound cross and lives with our directors; Jane and John.

His key tasks are to spread cheer through our offices. Whilst our Care Assistants make sure our customers smile, Robbie is responsible for making our team smile. He’s not exactly on the payroll, but you will find him around the office looking for treats and scratches.

Jane Perry
Director of Bluebird Care Ayrshire, Edinburgh, and Glasgow South

Jane Perry started her home care journey with her husband, John back in 2008 when she purchased Bluebird Care Edinburgh. She has since opened offices in Glasgow South and Ayrshire.

Over the years, Jane has worked tirelessly to ensure she has a good team around her with the same passion for delivering high-quality, person-centric home care.

She got involved in the care sector as when she was looking for home care for her grandmother in Glasgow in 2008. She was appalled at the lack of knowledge, services, and general attitude of the companies she contacted. This set off a ‘light bulb’ moment.

After extensive research, she chose Bluebird Care as they shared her ethos of providing good old-fashioned service alongwith the ongoing support required to get her business up and running.

With Jane’s strong leadership together with her management team, she ensures that the interests and well-being of all customers and her team are met. Working with multidisciplinary teams and integrating with other leaders in the Social Care sector, Jane is as driven now as she ever was, to deliver the best, home care service possible.

Outside of work, Jane loves listening to music, good food and wine, spending time with her family and let’s not forget taking her dog (and best friend), Robbie for a walk on the beach.

John Perry
Director of Bluebird Care Ayrshire, Edinburgh, & Glasgow South

John has worked in customer facing roles for over 30 years as a Territory Manager with Tennent’s and other account management roles and is acutely aware of the importance of good customer service.

With John’s experience, you’ll normally find that he’s the first point of contact when someone is looking for care for themselves or a loved one. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing a quality customer service experience. He always takes the time to understand the customer’s needs, ensuring they have all the information required to make an informed decision of who cares for either themselves or a loved one.

Outside of work, John loves spending time with his family. He has 2 boys; Nick and Adam along with 2 granddaughters; Eva and Alyssa. He’s a long-suffering Hibs fan and a very competitive 8 handicap golfer. You’ll also find him listening to 70s & 80’s soul music.
