We're delighted to have just celebrated with Sarah, who marks her 13th year with the team!

It takes a special kind of person to excel in providing support, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those in need.

This is how we describe our staff team and Sarah is no exception as she recently celebrated her 13th year of care with us. Sarah’s story really is inspiring and here are some of the key moments.

Sarah's career at Bluebird Care began on the 13th of September when she joined as an office administrator and support coordinator.

I love my role with Bluebird Care. Not only is every day different and I have an amazing work family, I have the privilege of being able to put a smile on the face of my customers each and every day!

Little did she know that this was just the beginning of a remarkable journey in the world of caregiving. After just a few months, Sarah's commitment and dedication shone brightly, and she was offered the role of a care coordinator.

One of the standout achievements in Sarah's career was earning her Level 3 certification in business administration. This qualification not only showcased her commitment to personal and professional growth but also positioned her as an invaluable asset to the organization.

Sarah's dedication didn't stop there however. In 2015, she took on the role of a trained trainer in critical areas such as Basic life support, epilepsy management, moving and handling, and medication administration.

Her expertise wasn't limited to her own team; she generously shared her knowledge with other local businesses, contributing to a stronger and more knowledgeable caregiving community.

Recognizing her exemplary performance and expanding responsibilities, Sarah was promoted to the position of deputy manager in 2017. This promotion was a testament to her outstanding contributions and the trust she had earned from her colleagues and superiors alike.

In 2019, Sarah reached the finals of the British Care Awards in the category of care coordinator. This recognition underscored her commitment to providing the highest level of care and support to clients and solidified her reputation as a leader in the field.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarah's dedication extended beyond the workplace. Alongside her daughter, she painted rocks to raise awareness about the importance of staying at home and following safety measures.

Their efforts were not only heartwarming, but also caught the attention of head office, earning as space in the national newsletter.

It's inspiring to have such a passionate care team and Sarah is no exception to this. She always thinks of others and is extremely passionate about the support we provide our customers. Thank you Sarah for everything you do; it really does make a difference!

Sarah's commitment to personal growth continued in 2022 when she completed her Level 5 qualification in health and social care, further enhancing her ability to provide exceptional care to those who need it most.

One of the aspects that sets Sarah apart is her passion for organizing charity events that are close to the hearts of both customers and staff.

Over the years, she has run marathons to support the British Heart Foundation and consistently hosted events like Macmillan coffee mornings and Christmas jumper days, raising funds for Save the Children charity and their local hospice, St Wilfrids.

Sarah's 13-year journey at Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden is a testament to her unwavering commitment, compassion, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of those she cares for and the community she serves.

Her story is an inspiration to all, reminding us of the incredible impact one person can have in the world of caregiving. We look forward to many more years of Sarah's exceptional service and dedication!
