We recently arranged to visit customer George, who lives on his own and treated him to some delicious fish and chips.

George, who is a spritely 93 years young was born in Warrington and lives in the same house he has done for the past 50 years. He is living with dementia, but at 93 years young is living extremely well!

Previously Director of Technical Services for Eastbourne council, George was responsible for roads, sewers, the seafront and part of the planning committee for a number of years. In fact, it was this job that brought George to the house he still lives in today!

George has certainly a fascinating background, having not only worked for the local council but also served his country in the Royal Army Educational core where he used to teach English!

Our lovely Care Assistants provide daily support, supporting George with his personal care, meals and medication. His regular Care Assistants visit three times each day and always look forward to visiting.

I always look forward to my visits to George as they certainly help brighten the day. He’s a happy, cheerful, cheeky chappie who brings a smile to my face no matter how the day is going!

This lunchtime visit was particularly enjoyable as he was treated to a stunning fish and chip meal from the local chippy which was a real treat.

Thank you for this; I honestly can’t remember the last time I had fish and chips so it was a real treat.

We always strive to go above and beyond for our customers and this is another example of just that!
