Care assistant Anne Marie's late father has a fantastic legacy as she donated his tools to the local pet crematorium.

Care assistant Anne Marie’s late father had an extremely important job as he worked for Eastbourne council looking after the parks and carpet gardens along the seafront.

Sadly, he recently passed away and Anne Marie chose to donate his tools to Peaceways in Ringmer, where they will be used for many years to come helping keep the gardens tidy, contributing to the peaceful environment.

Whilst at Peaceways, Anne Marie met a lovely gentleman named Geoff, who tends to all the needs of pet owners when the time comes to say goodbye to their pets and bid them farewell to the Rainbow Bridge.

As Geoff gave me a tour of the facility, I was deeply moved by the care and thoughtfulness put into each aspect.

The crematorium houses a serene chapel of rest, where grieving pet owners can spend precious moments with their departed companions, cherishing the final memories together.

Each pet's resting place is then marked with a plaque, surrounded by flourishing rose bushes or cherry trees. This heartwarming gesture serves as a constant reminder of the love and joy their pets brought into their lives.

Coming back to Anne Marie’s dad’s tools, she explained that it’s heartening to know that the tools, which were once used to nurture public spaces, will now be used with care and reverence at a place that nurtures the memories of beloved pets.

For those who are interested in learning more about Peaceways Pets Crematorium, there is a lot of information available on their website and you can also find them on Facebook. Geoff and his team are always ready to support and assist pet owners during their time of grief, providing a sanctuary of love and remembrance for those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

What a heartwarming story and fantastic legacy for Anne Marie’s late father to be able to leave.
