'Employee of the Month' for April 2023 has deservedly been awarded to Louise Hawksworth our Care Coordinator.

Louise has been awarded for her numerous acts of kindness and continually going above and beyond.

Over the past month Louise has been visiting a customer with Vascular Dementia who at times, refuses to engage with his care staff, and on occasion has refused them entry to his home. Louise has taken the time to find out about the customer's hobbies and interests, as well as what is important to him. Louise has gone out of her way in her own time, to visit the local library and has taken out books she knew the gentlemen would enjoy reading. They now share stories about his past and read books about the local area together. The gentleman thoroughly enjoys Louise’s visits, often asking when she will be returning to visit again. They even have a “secret” knock, so he knows it’s Louise who is at the door. It just goes to show you really do get back what you put in.

A huge well done to you Louise, this recognition is so very deserved.  We thoroughly appreciate all that you do and it is a privilege to work alongside you.
