Bluebird Care East Hertfordshire is supporting Diabetes Awareness Week 2016, an annual campaign led by Diabetes UK, from 12-18 June.

Diabetes UK is the leading charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes. As well as being one of the largest funders of diabetes research in the UK, the charity provides information and support to help people with diabetes to manage their condition effectively.

The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Setting the record straight’. Although around 4 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes in the UK, there are many myths and misconceptions about the condition.

Chaitan Joshi, director of Bluebird Care East Hertfordshire, said:

We are proud to promote diabetes awareness week along with Diabetes UK and all the vital support and information they provide to anyone affected by the condition. We hope that supporting this campaign will help to increase awareness of diabetes and help to break down the myths and misconceptions of the condition in our community.
