School summer holidays, every day was sunny in my memory

Be true to yourself
 

I came into the care industry from a marketing background after watching care staff looking after my Mother when she was in a care home. They inspired me with their compassion and I felt that my job at the time was unfulfilling in comparison.

I become the Registered Manager of a home care agency in Paignton and was honoured to have been nominated as Registered Care Manager of the Year, and was delighted to have been awarded the winner of the Great South West Care Awards in 2010.

I have also enjoyed the experience of being a Customer Care Manager of a retirement village in Torquay, and I’m now enjoying the role of Registered Manager of Bluebird Care East Devon.

I have been blessed with a Son and Daughter, and a wonderful Golden Labrador called Tilly who has worked alongside me in the care industry as a therapy dog.
