73 years ago, July 5th 1948 was a key date in British history.

The NHS was born which opened the doors to free healthcare for all.

During the current pandemic the NHS, social care and frontline workers have been critical in fighting covid-19 and saving the lives of many.

To show the nation’s gratitude and appreciation to all NHS and frontline staff, the first NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day will take place on Monday, July 5th 2021.

Bluebird Care Ealing is fully supporting this day to remember those who have worked so hard to save others and those who have lost their lives.

Dean Morley, Care Manager at Bluebird Care Ealing, said:

“The NHS, social care and frontline workers have been truly amazing throughout this pandemic.

I want to say a big thank you to all our staff members who have been looking after the elderly and vulnerable, making sure that they are safe and healthy. The NHS has many events planned 5th July, not forgetting a big round of clapping at 8pm.

Please do join in and support our NHS, social and frontline workers!”

The day will raise money for two major charities which support hospitals and their workers: NHS Charities Together and the National Care Association. To find out more and see how you can be involved visit www.nhsfrontlineday.org
