On Friday 25th September Bluebird Care Ealing will be backing Macmillan Cancer Support by holding their very own coffee morning for their staff as part of the annual “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” event.

Research by Macmillan revealed that in 2017 2.5 million people in the UK were living with cancer, with this figure set to rise to four million by 2030. In 2018, Macmillan research suggested that over 1,000 individuals are being diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.

Macmillan’s first ever coffee morning took place in 1990 and since then the fundraising event has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan Cancer Support. One in every three people will face cancer and the money raised for Macmillan will make sure no one faces cancer alone.

We are inviting our customers, and everyone in our local communities to hold a socially distant or virtual coffee morning, dedicated to raising funds for Macmillan. This could be in the office, your garden, on the street or even online via a video call! Remember to keep safe and follow the NHS guidelines. We hope that World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will help contribute to Macmillan’s goal of making sure no one has to face cancer alone.

Dean Morley, Care Manager of Bluebird Care Ealing, said:

“At Bluebird Care Ealing, we like to support this campaign each year, raising awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support and the incredible work they do. We will be hosting a staff coffee morning at the Bluebird Care Ealing office to help Macmillan support people with cancer.

Why not hold your own socially distant coffee morning? You can’t beat a good cuppa and a slice of homemade cake! We’d love to see everyone’s fundraising efforts, so do email us with your Coffee Morning photos and we’ll upload them onto our social media. Together we can raise funds for Macmillan and help fight cancer.”
