Our Process

How we create your personalised plan

At Bluebird Care Dudley, Kidderminster & Malvern, we understand that life can be complicated, even at the best of times. That’s why we work together with you, to create your personalised care plan to make arranging care as simple and stress-free as possible.

Getting to know you

When you first reach out to us, we encourage you to share as much information as you’re comfortable with - about your mobility, memory, medication needs, and any daily support you require. Our friendly team will discuss as much as possible over the phone, but we also know that care needs, especially in cases like dementia, can vary. We take the time to assess your unique situation to ensure we provide the right level of care from the start.

Sometimes, small adjustments, like changing how incontinence care is managed at night, can make a big difference to your routine. Our care supervisors are happy to offer helpful advice and practical tips during your free consultation, because we believe that good care starts with good guidance.

A personalised approach to planning your care

After our initial chat, we’ll arrange a convenient time to visit you. This free care consultation allows us to understand all about your home environment, your preferences, and how we can best support you. No two people are the same, so we take a personalised approach, tailoring our service to fit your needs.

If you decide to proceed with us, we’ll return to map out your daily care routine and set up your care plan. We see this as a flexible, evolving process - often, once our care team starts working with you, we may find that certain aspects need adjusting. We’ll refine your plan as needed to ensure you receive the right level of care at all times.

Once we’ve agreed on your care plan, your dedicated care team will begin visits at the scheduled time. Our ethos is built on ‘good old-fashioned service with a heart’, ensuring you feel valued, respected, and well cared for. We’ll check in with you regularly to ensure you’re happy with your care and make any adjustments based on your preferences.

A reliable & consistent care team

We know how important continuity of care is, which is why we allocate a small, dedicated team to you. However, as our care professionals work in shifts and need well-deserved time off, you won’t see the same person every single day. Instead, you’ll get to know a familiar group of carers who will support you with warmth and consistency.

For those with high dementia or anxiety needs, we often recommend considering live-in care. Having a single, dedicated professional stay with you for extended periods can provide stability and reassurance. In these cases, we typically rotate two experienced carers every two weeks to ensure the best possible care while allowing our team to stay refreshed and focused on your wellbeing.

Clear scheduling & open communication

We strive to provide clear and reliable scheduling, you can access your schedule through our One Touch System so you always know who is coming. We do our best to arrive on time, but sometimes unexpected situations - like a customer needing emergency assistance - can cause minor delays. Our care teams will always do their best to keep you informed if there are any significant changes to your schedule.

Ongoing reviews & family involvement

In the first three months, we’ll check in regularly to fine-tune your care plan and make any necessary adjustments. After that, we’ll continue to review your plan every six months -or sooner if needed - to ensure you remain happy with our service.

We understand that families can sometimes live far away, so we’re happy to arrange online meetings to keep them involved in care discussions. Your loved ones will always have the opportunity to stay informed and engaged in your care journey.

A care provider you can trust

We’re proud that many of our customers come to us after experiencing other care providers, and we see it as a privilege to be entrusted with their care. We are regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission), with our office rated as Good”  - a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence.

Let us guide you through the care journey

Our Frequently Asked Questions

Find out more about arranging care with Bluebird Care Dudley, Kidderminster & Malvern

You can enquire about our care service by email or via our website or by calling us on 01384 297839. Whichever option you choose we will arrange a time to speak to you about yours or your loved one's needs. We will be looking to find out about you or your loved one, as a person and what you would like your life and routines to look like. We will arrange a care consultation which is where a member of the office team will come out and meet you, and anyone else you want present, to talk through your needs and answer any questions you have. There is no charge for this as this is where we will really get to know you and you can get to know us. It is important that you feel confident in the care provider you choose and there is no substitute for meeting someone face to face. Following that appointment we will send you a personalised quote, care plan and our terms of business for you to consider and sort out when you would like your care visits to start. Once everything is signed and ready we will be able to start introducing your care team.
Usually we can start your care package within a week of your decision to choose us. However, if your care is required in an emergency we can start within 24-48 hours but you may have to accept a few different carers or some flexibility on your preferred times during your first week as our rotas will already have been prepared and we will be looking to fit you in rather than creating a new rota with your package in place.
The shortest individual care visit we offer is 30 minutes. We do not believe that safe and appropriate care can be provided in less time than this
