Bluebird Care Darlington stand with Ukraine

Today at Bluebird Care Darlington, we’re wearing yellow in support of Ukraine.

Each day we’re all learning about how the people of Ukraine are being forced to leave their homes and live in crisis. We’ve pulled together a list of some of the ways that you might be able to join us in supporting those in need.

Financial Donations

There are multiple charities that are focussed on providing humanitarian relief to Ukraine.

Here are some:

Donating essential supplies

A great way to support people of Ukraine is through donating essential supplies. Organisations across the UK are gathering essential supplies to donate.

These may include:

• First aid kits

• Sanitary products

• Nappies

• Canned and dried foods

• Burn dressings

• Blankets

• Pain killers

Apply to be a sponsor

The government recently announced a sponsorship scheme to ensure that Ukraine refugees have somewhere safe to stay. More information about this scheme can be found on Homes for Ukraine.

Social media

Another great way to support Ukraine is to share messages of support on social media. Together we can spread awareness of what is happening on the ground in Ukraine. Be sure to add the #StandWithUkraine hashtag onto your post to make sure that it reaches as many people as possible.
