Croydon Mayor joined Bluebird Care Croydon to celebrate the opening of its new office.

Bluebird Care Croydon were celebrating a number of achievements.  Firstly the opening of a new office, due to the continued growth of the business. The Worshipful the Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Yvette Hopley cut the ribbon to formally open the office.  Secondly it is the 4th Anniversary of the formation of Bluebird Care Croydon, The Mayor also cut a cake to mark this milestone.

Director Dean Slade commented:

It seems a long time ago that the company started with a vision of bringing the highest quality care in the home service to Croydon.

We started in 2009 with a small 2 person office, and three care workers, this has now grown to an office team of 5 plus 50 care workers providing care for over 100 local customers. I am proud of the excellent service we provide, and I know we are making a real difference to people’s lives.”

Bluebird Care Croydon’s first ever customer, Elizabeth joined them for the celebration.  As part of the celebration, local singing talent Hannah Rodgers performed her new single.

There were more reasons to make this a real celebration of success, with news that Bluebird Care Croydon has 2 finalists in Great British Care Awards for Care Worker of the Year and Newcomer.  Dean said,

We wish Lina and Dina the best of luck on the awards night on 2nd November in London.”

To add to this, Bluebird Care Croydon was the recipient of a finalist award in the Franchisee of the Year at the Bluebird Care Awards on the 12th October 2013.
