Mandy Sparkes
Registered Manager

Mandy joined Bluebird Care Croydon in July 2011 and brings with her many years of experience working in Health and Social Care. Her previous roles include Quality Assurance Officer and Compliance Officer. Mandy holds a certificate in Auditing for Compliance and has been responsible for ensuring the safe legal delivery of Residential and Domiciliary Care Services.  This has resulted in excellent knowledge of the Care Standards Regulations, policies and procedures

Mandy is responsible for the day to day running of the business and has a Level 5 in General Adult Social Care.  She holds an NVQ2 in Team Leadership, a certificate in Risk Management and is a Manual Handling and Medication Trainer.  Many years in customer service and complaint management has made Mandy passionate about delivering a high quality service  to make a significant difference to people’s lives.

Mandy has been finalist the Great British Care Awards for Registered Home Care Manager of the Year 2012,2014 and 2015.  In 2016 was a finalist in the Bluebird Care Registered Manager of year award and in 2020 was a finalist in the Bluebird Care Covid Hero Awards

Nicola Pullen
Training Manager

Nicola supports our new carer assistants during induction and ongoing training and works on a one to one basis to help them though the care certificate.

Nicola started her career with Bluebird Care Croydon in 2015 as a care assistant and then progressed to team leader, but it was her passion for helping new staff to have the skills required to provide excellent care that led to her taking up a training role.

Veronica Robert
Live-in Desk Supervisor

Veronica started as a care assistant following a career in the banking sector. Veronica has demonstrated the delivery of an excellent care service to our customers and has been a mentor for new team members. Veronica's administration and organisational skills along with her enthusiastic approach to delivering the best care possible, made her an obvious choice to lead and support our team of care assistants. Veronica is a finalist in the 2018 London Care Awards for the Frontline Leaders Award.

Veronica now manages our live-in care service, providing a realistic alternative to a care home. 

Chelsie Hart
Care Coordinator

Chelsie’s role is to ensure the efficient administration of the office systems, supporting the Registered Manager and the rest of the office team. Chelsie also deals with customer enquiries to ensure they are directed to the best person to deal with any questions. 

Chelsie was winner for Care Coordinator of the Year 2015 in the Great British Care Awards 

Seonaid Blackwood
Care Supervisor

Seonaid joined Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2015, Seonaid progressed to be one of our Care Champions and is also trained to undertake health and wellbeing checks.

As supervisor, Seonaid manages our care assistants including quality checks and staff support.
