Bluebird Care Coleraine receive Regulatory & Quality Inspection Agency (RQIA) report

We have recently received our Regulatory & Quality Inspection Agency (RQIA) report following our inspection in February.

We have recently received our Regulatory & Quality Inspection Agency (RQIA) report following our inspection in February.

The RQIA is the independent body responsible for monitoring and inspecting the availability and quality of health and social care services in Northern Ireland, and encouraging improvements in the quality of those services.

The overall outcome from the unannounced inspection was that we are ‘delivering safe, effective and compassionate care’, with ‘no requirements or recommendations being made’. 

The report contained positive comments from the Inspector and complimentary comments from our customers.
 
Great importance was placed on the benefit of care being provided by consistent carers’
No concerns were raised regarding the carers treating the service users with dignity or respect, or that care is being rushed’
Service users or their relatives….felt the carers are appropriately trained and knowledgeable regarding the service users condition’
Service users or their representatives are involved in decision making regarding their care plan, either at service commencement or during reviews’
