Last week we promoted Self-Care Week 2021 by encouraging our care assistants to ‘Take 5 & Relax’

Day and daily, our care assistants give their all to our customers and do an amazing job ensuring they are cared for to the best of their ability.

This year during self-care week, we wanted to promote to our staff the importance of looking after themselves as well as they do for others.

We encouraged our staff to ‘Take 5 and Relax’, with a lovely treat box from Bakesters.

 

Self-care is very important to ensure that you live a happy and healthy life. Self-Care simply means taking care of yourself so you can be well physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Self-care doesn’t mean another added commitment to your already busy life, nor does it have to cost the earth, it may simply be about making a few small lifestyle changes and every so often putting yourself first.

Self-care means different things for different people; you may be practicing self-care without even realising it.

It can be as simple as having a relaxing bath after a long day, meeting a friend for coffee, going for a walk, whatever helps you to be the best person you can be to cope with whatever life throws at you.
