Bluebird Care Coleraine win at the Women in Business Awards

Published: 25/11/2016

Congratulations to franchise owner Sue McLaughlin, who, scooped the ‘Excellence in IT’ prestigious award at the sixth annual Northern Ireland Women in Business Awards.

As mentioned earlier this month, Sue was a finalist at the Women in Business Awards in the ‘Excellence in IT’ category and we are thrilled to say she won.

The aim of the awards is to celebrate, reward and acknowledge the hard work and achievements of some of the most successful, entrepreneurial and inspiring business women throughout Northern Ireland.

Commenting on the award, Sue said:

Receiving this award has made me very proud of the Bluebird Care Coleraine Team. Without The PASSsystem, developed by everyLIFE Technologies, I would not have received this recognition. I extend my thanks to them and am grateful for the positive impact that The PASSsystem has had on my business.”
Sue added:

I am thrilled that Bluebird Care Coleraine has been recognised for our investment in technology and expertise in delivering an exemplary homecare experience.  The Women in Business Network is a strong and supportive organisation recognising and nurturing the talents of Business Women, so to win this award is extremely gratifying and makes me proud of what the Bluebird Care Coleraine team has achieved.”
The award win follows Bluebird Care Coleraine’s implementation of The PASSsystem app. The app, installed onto the care assistants’ mobile phones, was introduced in May 2016, since when there has been a positive impact on operations across the business.

Bluebird Care Coleraine’s Care Assistants have benefited greatly from the system through its ability to give them instant access to Customer information prior to their visits.  The system ensures they are continually up to date with the information they need and further supports their commitment to delivering customer care to the highest standards.

Duncan Berry, chief executive of Bluebird Care said:

We are absolutely delighted that Sue and her team’s efforts to grow her business by being supportively by the side of her customers and employees have been recognised in this way.”
