RISE Joins Bluebird Care for Dementia Friends Session
Earlier this week, staff from RISE visited the Bluebird Care office in Elmstead Market to take part in a Dementia Friends information session, led by our in-house Dementia Ambassador, Rob Wallace.
The session was a relaxed and informative opportunity for the RISE team to explore what it means to live with dementia and how greater awareness can make a meaningful difference in day-to-day interactions. With their experience supporting people across a wide range of care settings, the RISE team brought thoughtful discussion and plenty of insight to the session.
Rob, who has personally welcomed over 1,000 Dementia Friends, shared practical advice and tools for better understanding and communicating with people living with dementia. The atmosphere was one of shared learning and collaboration, with team members reflecting on how small adjustments in approach can build trust, confidence, and comfort for the people they support.
It was a pleasure to host the RISE team and to see such commitment to continued learning and person-centred care. Moments like these remind us of the strength of our local care community and the shared values that unite us in our work.
