Why Choose Live-In Care?

Live-In Care is the ultimate choice for those seeking independence and personalised care. It allows individuals to continue living their life, enjoying hobbies, maintaining routines, and staying connected to their community. If you’re worried about a loved one moving into a care home, this service offers a life-enhancing alternative that prioritises comfort, familiarity, and quality of life.

The Live-In Care Process

  1. Initial Contact and Visit
Whether you’re an existing customer or new to Bluebird Care, the first step is to contact our Live-In Care team on 01206 827605. We’ll arrange an initial visit to meet you and your family, answer any questions, and discuss your specific needs. This meeting helps us understand your unique situation and how we can best support you.

  2. Tailored Care Package
After the visit, our experienced team will develop a bespoke care plan tailored to you or your loved one’s needs. This plan will cover everything from daily routines to specific preferences and requirements, ensuring the highest level of personalised care.

  3. Care Begins
On the first day of your Live-In Care, our team will introduce you to your dedicated Care Expert. They’ll walk you through the plan, answer any remaining questions, and ensure a smooth transition into care.

What Does Live-In Care Include?

Our Live-In Care Experts are trained to provide:

  • Personal care and companionship.
  • Assistance with household tasks, such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Help with mobility and physical activities.
  • Support with medication and healthcare needs.
  • Overnight care (up to three wake-ups per night).

For those requiring more intensive night-time support, we can arrange for additional Care Workers to cover waking nights, ensuring continuous care and allowing your Live-In Care Expert to rest.

Scheduling and Breaks

Live-In Care Experts typically work on a rota system, such as:

  • 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
  • 1 week on, 1 week off.
  • 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

They also have a daily 2-hour break, during which we can arrange for a local Care Worker to provide support, ensuring continuity of care throughout the day.

Requirements for Live-In Care

To accommodate a Live-In Care Expert in your home, you’ll need to provide:

  • A private bedroom for their use.
  • A weekly food budget, which they can manage as part of the household shopping or purchase separately.

Continuity of Care

We understand the importance of consistency, which is why we assign regular Care Experts to each customer. Weekly handovers with your Care Supervisor ensure no detail is missed, and updates are provided to ensure seamless care.
