Earlier this week, a certain nurse who works for Bluebird Care hit a phenomenal milestone.
Becky, otherwise known as Rixy, celebrated 30 years of holding her PIN.
Becky has dedicated 30 years of her life to serving people in her community to help improve their lives. Her journey into nursing started as a child watching Casualty with her mum, where Nurse Duffy became her hero. Reaching this milestone was a tough journey filled with lots of studying, tears, and laughter.
Over the last three decades, Becky has been there when babies have come into the world, and she has held people's hands as they leave it. She has supported individuals through life-changing diagnoses, carried out research into new drugs, developed a new service, and received awards for her incredible work.
Nursing often requires sacrifice, and Becky has missed birthdays, planned events, and special moments to do a job that she wouldn't change for the world. She credits all her achievements to the support of her wonderful parents, her husband, and her three amazing children. After 30 years, she still wakes up every morning enjoying her career, and when asked if she would do it all again, her answer is "Yes 100%".
