Community
Welcome to our Community web page. Bluebird Care Colchester & Tendring is passionate about helping people in our local community and will always go the extra mile.
Our staff are committed and dedicated to caring for our customers and we are very proud that it has been recognised by the community. Care assistant Michelle Trunley of the Braintree & Uttlesford branch has won a community award for her hard work and dedication with one of our customers living with Alzheimers. Michelle has been nominated for a Regional Award and we will soon here if she will reach the National Awards early next year.
We are very active in our Dementia Friends sessions, supporting the Alzheimer's Society initiative. We regularly hold sessions in the community to help raise awareness of dementia. Our Dementia Champions have accumulated over 200 Dementia Friends this year.
We support the community of St John's Church with transport to the Evergreen Lunch Club, which meets every second Thursday of the month . Our Bluebird Care bus provides transport for those who are unable to get to the Church themselves and require a little support from our driver and care assistant to transport them to the club.
We are always looking for new ways to support the Alzheimer's Society and most recently one of our Care Managers took part in a tandem skydive to raise funds for the cause. So far the team have managed to raise £1146.23.
Please check back soon for an update on our forthcoming community activities.
