A wellbeing talk at North Wilts Bowls Club
Stay strong. Stay steady. Stay on the green. Chippenham
Around 20 people joined our directors, Dr James Gough and Dr Tom Moore, at North Wilts Bowls Club recently for a wellbeing talk focused on staying active in later life, along with a look at the vitamins that support healthy ageing.
The session was practical from start to finish. James led the group through a simple balancing exercise, then raised the stakes by asking everyone to try it with their eyes closed. He even suggested giving it a go while brushing your teeth, a suggestion that got a good laugh and had the room promising to try it that evening.
Behind the laughter was a genuinely useful message: staying active doesn't have to mean anything complicated or time consuming. Small changes built into an everyday routine, like balancing while you brush your teeth, can make a real difference to strength and stability over time.

Practical, community-facing wellbeing
This is exactly the kind of session we want to keep running: straightforward, evidence-based advice delivered in a way that's easy to take home and actually use. Thank you to everyone who came along at North Wilts Bowls Club and got involved.
