We bring to Bluebird Care our considerable public and private sector experiences from areas as diverse as Personnel Recruitment and Events Marketing to Venue Management
We own and manage two Bluebird Care territories – Bluebird Care Watford and Three Rivers based in Rickmansworth and Bluebird Care Chiltern and Dacorum based in Hemel Hempstead.
Senior Registered Manager
Kelly Green joined Bluebird Care in February 2011 and is the Senior Registered Manager for the Chiltern & Dacorum and Watford & Three Rivers Teams. Kelly has worked in Care at Home Services for more than ten years, her first two years was studying Health and Social Care Level 3 – during which time she experienced many different work placements from Children to Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Elderly Residential Care.
Once qualified Kelly went on to work for a Hertfordshire Social Services accredited service provider first as a Care Worker and then a Senior Care Worker before being promoted to manage her own area for more than five years.
As Registered Manger for Bluebird Care Kelly is responsible for the supervision of all staff and customer relationships to ensure Bluebird Care are delivering a service to meet our customers’ individual needs. She is also responsible for all the safety and legal aspects of the care.
As part of her Continual Professional Development with Bluebird Care, Kelly has completed a QCF Diploma Level 5 in Management and Leadership.
I am passionate about high quality care and I have a particular interest and experience in Quality Control. Within all my roles I have been responsible for ongoing auditing to ensure we are meeting compliance with the Care Quality Commission.
Kelly is supported by the Care Supervisors and Care Co-ordinator.
I started my career in care 7 years ago when I joined Bluebird Care, before that I worked for a distribution company for 20 + years in HR/Payroll. I decided I wanted a change in career, after speaking to a friend who also works for Bluebird Care I was convinced this was something I needed to pursue.
When I started my career as a Carer it was very apparent very quickly this was absolutely the right choice. I really embraced my role as Carer and became more confident each day with the lovely customers I would visit and the great team of Carers I worked with. I gained my Level 2 in Health and Social Care and started to support the office team with admin tasks when needed whilst still working in community as a Carer. I then had an amazing opportunity to cover some maternity leave in the office as a Care Supervisor, during this time I completed my Level 3 in Health and Social Care which I am so proud of.
I am now a permanent member of the office team in the role as a Care Supervisor for the Chiltern area and the Live In Care team. I really enjoy my role as I still have contact with our Customers and all the Carers, as well as starting up new care packages. My move into Care has been so rewarding and the best decision I made 7 years ago.
In my own time I enjoy spending time with my Husband and family and enjoy holidays and social outings!
I began my career in domiciliary care 16 years ago. Initially I worked as a care assistant, and later a senior care assistant, working evenings and weekends, (as at that time I worked full time during the week as a receptionist and admin support). I’ve always enjoyed working with people and supporting others, and I get great satisfaction from being able to help others and make a difference.
I joined the Bluebird Care team in July 2012 as a full time care supervisor, a position that has enabled me to combine the care and admin experience I have gained over the years. Within my role I am one of 2 supervisors who, aswell as supporting our team of care assistants, visit new and existing customers to establish their needs, work with them and family members, to put together packages of care that meets their individual needs and that suits their chosen way of life. I am passionate about ensuring things are right and that people get the best possible care that is tailored to their wishes.
Following my return from maternity leave last year, I am now working part time (on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday), and am also working towards my Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
When not at work I enjoy time with my daughter, family & friends, and of course, indulging in a spot of retail therapy every now and then.

Not long after I started my role as a Bluebird care assistant, I came to realise it was a job that I very much enjoyed and I felt that I was making a real difference to people’s lives.
Since beginning my career I have had the opportunity to progress and I am now working alongside the office team as a supervisor. 2 years ago I completed NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and I am currently working towards NVQ level 3.
I began my career in care at the age of 18 in a residential care home but didn’t feel this was the right position for me, I was then given the opportunity to become a private live-in carer for a couple whom I cared for a little over 3 years until they both sadly passed away, it was then that I decided I would try my hand at something else as although I enjoyed every aspect of care wanted to broaden my horizons, I worked as a hotel receptionist for 3 years but my heart wasn’t in it and felt that I could do something that made a difference to people’s lives.
It was at this point I decided where I wanted to be, I Joined Bluebird Care in October 2012 as a care worker after being with the company for eight months I was offered the positon as Care Supervisor to cover Maternity leave as part of my role I support new and existing of carers workers, visit new and existing customers to establish their needs, work with them and family members, to put together packages of care that meets their individual needs and that suits their chosen way of life. I am passionate about ensuring things are right and that people get the best possible care that is tailored to their wishes.
Since starting with Bluebird Care I have completed my NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care, I have also recently completed a Dementia Pathway and have become a Dementia Champion which has enabled me to support new and existing customers and their families promote independence in a safe way, this includes giving advice on equipment, environment, and different techniques to use to encourage customers to accept care where required.
Being able to provide care for people to enable them to remain in their own home is something I am very passionate about and being able to tailor make their packages to encourage them to remain independent is very important to me.
I am so excited that I have been able to use my background in Recruitment to ensure that, through our rigorous selection and induction processes, we only employ Care Workers who are emotionally suited and professionally committed to this challenging role.
