Community engagement

Community

Bluebird Care (Chesterfield & NE Derbyshire) were delighted to attend a local community event recently, where members of the team hosted a stall, met with local residents and shared information about the care and support we provide. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak directly with members of the public, answer questions and raise awareness of how our services can help people remain safe, comfortable and independent at home.

Events like this are a valuable way for us to build relationships beyond the care we deliver day to day. By being visible, approachable and involved locally, we can better understand what matters to people in our community while making sure families know where to turn if they need support. The day was full of friendly conversations, positive connections and a real sense of community spirit.

Some of our team, including Emma Sandy and Javira Bazmi, also took part in Ashgate Hospice's 10k Sparkle Night Walk, joining others from across the area for an evening of fun, fundraising and togetherness. The walk brought people together in support of a much-loved local charity, and our team enjoyed the chance to be part of such a positive and uplifting event.

Along the route, the team were pleased to see some familiar faces, including customers, which made the evening even more special. Taking part showed the heart of Bluebird Care: supporting people not only in their homes, but also in the wider community.

We're also incredibly proud of Jennifer Hartley, who completed a dementia walk to help raise awareness and support for people affected by dementia. Dementia care is an important part of the support we provide, so seeing members of our team give their own time to champion causes close to our customers and families means a great deal.
