Super Celebrations!

WELL DONE ALL! A great afternoon was had with staff becoming Dementia Friends (an initiative being led by the Alzheimer's Society).  We also celebrated carers achieving long service awards.

DEMENTIA FRIENDS
At Bluebird Care Flintshire, Cheshire West and Chester we are ALL taking part in the initiative and becoming Dementia Friendly company.  Our first talk took place this week as we welcomed Jim to our office who is a Dementia Champion for the Alzheimer's Society, he shared real life experiences, gave superb information raising our awareness of Dementia and explained how people live with the disease.  Jim was very engaging and had a good response by our team.  As a result everyone who took part has now become a Dementia Friend!

LONG SERVICE AWARDS
We also combined the afternoon with celebrating our team members who have earned their long service award.  In total we had 8 members of staff receiving awards: our Deputy Care Manager, Supervisor and 4 Care Assistants who have all been with us for a year.  We also celebrated 2 Care Assistants who have been with us for 3 years.  They all were pleased with the recognition and enjoyed the small awards that were given.  Thank you to all who have shown dedication to you role and who care passionately about the people you support in the community - we really do appreciate you!

At Bluebird Care Flintshire, Cheshire West and Chester we are immensely PROUD of all of our team and wish them many more fantastic years ahead being part of our team.  We look forward to welcoming Jim back to continue with supporting us all becoming Dementia Friends.
