During the recent heatwave, our Care Manager, Jayne Wakefield was quick to respond. Visiting our more vulnerable customers at home, Jayne shared tips and advice on how to keep cool and hydrated as well as recognising the signs of heat stroke.
Jayne is pictured below, sharing the information bulletin and handing out water supplies to Bluebird Care customers, Frank Whittingham and Doris Cope. Customer, Joy Roberts is also pictured (right) reading through the advice. Jayne says,
Although the warmer weather is very welcome, older people are particularly vulnerable to the effects of extreme heat. We want to make sure we reach everyone with the message of maintaining good hydration”
