Bluebird Care Cherwell & North Bucks has thrown its support behind the new CARE Badge, a unifying symbol for adult social care workers across Britain. All profits from the sale of CARE badges will be distributed to care-related charities which are suggested online by care workers and carers and overseen by a CARE badge committee.

Founders Care England and everyLIFE Technologies launched the CARE Badge at the Residential & Home Care Show last week.

They are calling on the UK’s business leaders to buy the £1 CARE badges and distribute them for FREE to their employees and customers in a visible display of support for the 9 million informal and paid carers in Britain.

Bluebird Care believes the badge will promote awareness of and appreciation for the “crucial service” that care professionals provide.

Suzzanne Elgar, Director of Bluebird Care Cherwell & North Bucks, commented:

“This is such an inspiring project and a very important step forward for the social care sector – we are pleased to be supporting the initiative.

All our care workers will have access to the CARE badge and we will encourage them to wear the badge with pride to promote their hard work.

I hope one day this badge will be seen in a similar light to the famous NHS pin, which has done so much good for all those in the National Health Service.”
