Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire is celebrating after receiving an overall 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), recognising the high-quality care and support it provides to customers across the region.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England. It inspects care providers to ensure they are delivering services that are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, helping people and their families make informed choices about their care.
The inspection highlighted the dedication, compassion and professionalism of the Bluebird Care team, with customers and their families sharing overwhelmingly positive feedback about the care they receive.
One customer said: "I have used other care agencies and Bluebird Care is by far the best."
Another described their care team as "kind and gentle" and added, "I honestly can say I couldn't wish for better care staff."
The report also praised the consistency of care, with one person explaining that having regular carers had made a "huge difference" and that they were always kept informed if there were any delays or changes to their visits.
Families also spoke about the positive impact Bluebird Care has had on their loved ones, with one relative saying: "The main care staff who comes here can't do anything better. They aren't just skilled, they have a natural ability to help our family member."
Another shared: "I couldn't be happier with my care staff, they are really kind to me. Nothing is too much trouble to any of them, we have a really good relationship and most of all we are always laughing."
The inspection recognised the team's commitment to delivering personalised care, with customers commenting that staff took time to understand their individual preferences and supported them with dignity and respect. One customer said: "Special to me is that they are very thoughtful about all my care. They think about what is special to me and make this happen."
Bluebird Care was also praised for supporting people to remain safe and independent, ensuring equipment was checked before use, assisting with medication, and taking the time to help customers make their own decisions.
Emma Taylor, Director of Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire, said:
"We're incredibly proud to have received a 'Good' rating from the CQC. This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of every member of our team, who work tirelessly to provide outstanding care every day.
What makes this achievement even more special is hearing directly from our customers and their families. Their feedback shows the real difference our team makes, not just by providing excellent care, but by building trusted relationships and helping people continue living safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. I'd like to thank our entire team for their commitment and our customers for placing their trust in us."
The inspection reinforces Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire's commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred home care, ensuring every customer receives the support they need to live life their way in the place they know and love most – their own home.
