I would just like to give our thoughts on Raquel’s care and help during her stay with us. We found Raquel an excellent carer, very attentive to Andy’s needs, helping him at all times when walking, prompting him to lift his left leg, as soon as she heard my instructions to Andy, she repeated the same time and time again. Would sit with Andy and have meaningful conversation with him, on hand at all times during the day. If she was on her break and I was struggling she would rush to my aid. She couldn’t have been more helpful.
In our opinion she is an extremely valued member of your team, we are just sorry she could not have stayed for longer.
I just wanted to let you know how lucky we feel to have had Gifty caring for my mum. Gifty has been amazing. My mum loved her (and we did too). Although I know you can train for practical care, what makes Gifty so special is the genuine emotional care and companionship she gave my mum (and Dad before he passed). I think this is due to Gifty's naturally kind nature.
Me and Graham have been very impressed with the way Nigel has been looking after Dad over the past 3 weeks, and would love to have him back at any time when the rota allows.
